Who has insulted our troops? Who lied about Saddam having WMD’s to send our kids into war, and who thinks that’s oh so funny……making jokes about it, while our kids continue to die in Iraq??? Who sends soldiers suffering with PTDS back into war? Who cuts funding for traumatic brain injury, which is the signature injury in the war? Who is so incompetent that our own weapons are now likely in the hands of the enemy and being used to kill our kids? Who passed the No Child Left Behind legislation which provisions that school districts MUST provide military recruiters with student information or their funding will be cut? What school districts do you think needs that funding and can’t cut military recruitment off? Who do you think those military recruiters target? Who lowered standards for acceptance in the military? Who’s causing Iraq/Afghanistan veterans to come home after bravely serving their country…..only to be homeless?

Maybe Kerry’s remarks were offensive to some. They weren’t to me. It’s not the privledged’s children who are going to war. And when you look at the big picture……who’s words and behavior have been most offensive AND COSTLY to our troops? Who served in the military? Who didn’t? Who’s a decorated war hero, who isn’t?

I wish Kerry hadn’t said those words…..because he’s given these vultures something to hang on to for the next 7 days. I hope John Kerry is all over the place shooting it right back at them in the next 7 days.

But no matter what John Kerry said. No matter what his intent was. No matter if you’re offended by it or not…… The bottom line is…..does it change the fucking mess the Republicans have made of this country? No. Nothing has changed. Except the talking points.
