IRAQ MAY ENGAGE SYRIA, IRAN TO HELP END VIOLENCE

35 U.S. MILITARY DEATHS IN 14 DAYS OF NOVEMBER I think they should ask for their neighbors help….and we should get out. Iran and Syria could do far more to quell the violence then the U.S. ever could.

Iraq may seek help from Syria and Iran to quell sectarian violence within its borders, the country’s government hinted after a meeting between its prime minister and top U.S. general John Abizaid.

A statement released Monday by the Iraqi government said Abizaid — who commands U.S. forces in the region — and Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki spoke about the “effect of neighbouring countries on the security situation in Iraq.”

Meanwhile, U.S. President George Bush has said he is looking forward to a report by a bipartisan panel on Iraq that is expected to suggest the same strategy.
