I always wonder when I see stuff like this what the story is. If this woman had died from an illness or such, it would state that. Listed as an “incident under investigation.” I always wonder about these…..and if her family will ever know the true story. My sympathies to her family and friends.

supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.Maj. Gloria D. Davis, 47, of St. Louis, Mo., died Dec. 12 in Baghdad, Iraq,
from a non-combat related incident. She was assigned to the Defense Security
Assistance Agency, Washington, D.C.The incident is under investigation.

ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
12/15/2006A soldier from the St. Louis area died in Iraq this week, the U.S. Defense Department announced Thursday.
Maj. Gloria D. Davis, 47, died Tuesday in a noncombat-related incident in Baghdad, the department said in a news release.
Davis was assigned to the Washington-based Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
A spokesman for the agency said from the Pentagon this morning that he had no additional details on Davis’ death. He said the agency handled sales of military equipment to foreign nations.
Later, the spokesman said that although Davis was a part of his agency, she had been assigned to a different unit in Iraq.
