America’s Thirty-Something
by Buck

CNN’s QuickVote this morning asks, “Which senator’s recently announced presidential bid is more likely to win your support?“. You get to choose between Hillary Clinton and Sam Brownback. I opted not to vote but instead just view the results.

Now I know a CNN poll is no where near scientific, let alone accurate. I also know it’s very early in the race. That some people will not ever vote a woman into office. That some people would never vote for someone that calls Kansas home. On and on and on… etc., etc., etc. But why am I seeing ‘thirty’something’ so often any more? Is it true what some people say… that thirty’something-percent of America will vote for someone with an ‘R’ by their name regardless of that person’s record?, regardless of that person’s platform?, …regardless?
Is it true what someone said… that a Republican could slay an infant on live television and can still rely on that thirty’something crowd to remain loyal to them and the party? Says a lot for America’s educational system.
