I can’t stand Limpballs either, but an emergency is an emergency. This radio station has a strong signal and people’s safety should be of the highest concern…..not politics. But nice try!!!! Way to take a stand against the idiot of the airwaves!!

A Broward County commissioner’s effort to kill a deal with the local radio station that carries Rush Limbaugh looks like it will fail.
Thousands of media hounds nationwide jumped into the fray Wednesday after Commissioner Stacy Ritter blocked renewal of the county’s partnership with WIOD-AM (610) to disseminate information during a hurricane emergency.
”Fire these commissioners!” wrote one reader on MiamiHerald.com. “They have no place in a democracy. Bring Limbaugh back!”
Five commissioners contacted Wednesday by The Miami Herald indicated they would support the renewal. At Tuesday’s meeting, four commissioners had been absent, and Ritter — reasoning that the all-Democrat, nine-member commission is at the opposite end of the political spectrum from Limbaugh and other conservative hosts carried by WIOD — made majority approval of the deal impossible by refusing to support it.
”We don’t have to do business with them,” Ritter declared.
