Open Letter to Secretary of Defense Gates
by QuestionGirl • 7:23 pm

I’ve been following the Jill Metzger case. So has Militarycorruption.com. This is an open letter to Gates. I guess there are the haves and the have nots in the military, also. Jill Metzger is a have. This is sickening.

From Militarycorruption.com:

Dear Sir,

We commend you for the swift action you took when you became our nation’s new defense chief. You fired a political hack, the former secretary of the Army; canned two generals involved in the Walter Reed medical care incident; and dumped Gen Peter Pace, a “Rumsfeld yes-man,” who promptly went whining to the media about how he “didn’t want to go.”

Now we urge you, on behalf of all the honorable men and women in the United States Air Force, to exercise your ultimate authority in the case of one of the worst scandals in Air Force history.

We are talking about the Maj. Jill Metzger cover-up and the very real possibility that this officer - who we think is fortunate not to have faced disciplinary action for what we suspect she did while in Kyrgyzstan last year - will be “rewarded” with a “disability” pension as she leaves military service while our wounded and disabled vets from Iraq and Afghanistan come home with arms and legs blown off, hands mangled, faces disfigured. They will not have as generous a pension as Jill, someone who was never under enemy fire.

Jill Metzger has been seen jogging around Moody AFB with her “minders” in recent months, so we guess there’s nothing physically wrong with her. If she is, as we have been told, going to receive a 100% PTSD pension, that is worth thousands of tax-free dollars a month. And to our way of thinking, that is absolutely unacceptable.

We have nothing against Metzger personally. But as combat veterans, we cannot respect the special treatment she has received in the nine months since she returned to this country. The Air Force has refused to issue ANY statement at all about this case. Why? On MilitaryCorruption.com we have pointed out, if Metzger had performed all the heroics and “derring-do” described by her, and later her retired colonel father on the pages of Air Force TIMES, she should have been given the Air Force Cross and put on a whirlwind tour of the country to recruit more super-achiever women into the military. But that has not happened. The silence has been deafening. We have been told by many sources within the Air Force that a cover-up of immense proportions is under way.

Since Metzger hasn’t been lauded and decorated, that leads us to believe that the so-called Air Force “leadership” knows this poster girl and two-time winner of the Air Force Marathon lied in her bizarre statements. And if she had been a “he,” or someone without “celebrity” or connections, and done what she did, that person would have been court-martialed by now.

STARS & STRIPES did a telephone interview with us a few days ago. One of the loaded questions posed by a female reporter for this Department of Defense owned-and-operated publication was: “You don’t have any compassion for Jill Metzger at all, do you?” That was a “fishing expedition,” but we didn’t provide any crazed Ann Coulter-type outrageous statement that one could build a story around, so we don’t anticipate STRIPES giving us one drop of ink.

Where is the rest of the mainstream media? Air Force TIMES has been as tame as a tabby cat, only printing the “official line.” ABC, CNN, NBC, and even FOX (who reported Jill had failed a polygraph test last year) have been very reluctant to look into this case. No official statement, many inconsistencies, an international incident with Kyrgyzstan, and no one wants to go there? Why not? Because it is “politically incorrect,” perhaps? Can’t criticize a feminist icon even if it turns out she has feet of clay.

MilitaryCorruption.com fights for the truth and exposes the corrupt. We have no fear of anyone and will not be intimidated. Out of respect for our readers, many thousands of them who wear Air Force blue, we think they and the American people deserve to know the truth.

You sir, have the final authority. Gen. T. Michael Moseley can’t hand you a “cores value” card and change the subject. Neither can Gen. Gary North.

Now, we’re going to make some “news.” Our sources have told us there is an OSI report which answers all the questions posed above. It is not to be released to the public, and if it were leaked out, careers, including that of at least one flag officer, could abruptly end. We ask you to order Moseley, and a certain OSI brigadier general, to hand over that report and have it on your desk in one hour. Not a redacted, or censored version, but the original, complete file. Then, you can read it and decide for yourself if you still want such men “leading” the U.S. Air Force.

Edmund Burke once wrote: “ALL THAT IS NECESSARY FOR EVIL TO PREVAIL IS FOR GOOD MEN TO DO NOTHING.”

We believe you sir, are a good man, a man of honor, and that in this case, no matter how embarrassing it may be for the Pentagon and certain brass hats, you will not “do nothing,” you will do the “right” thing.” Thank you.
