Paralysed from the neck down, Maria cannot breathe without a special ventilator. She has gasped her way through this ritual every morning for more than a year since the tragedy that wiped out most of her family and left her quadriplegic.
Now her fate rests with the Israeli Supreme Court, which will decide next month whether she should be deported from Israel. Her struggle is a compelling case of how even the worst aspects of the conflict can bring people together - and how bureaucracy and politics can tear them apart.
It began in May last year, when her uncle invited the family out to test-drive his new car in their native Gaza. They did not know that the car ahead contained Muhammad Dahdouh, a senior Islamic Jihad leader visiting his wife, who had given birth in hospital.
Suddenly the family heard the roar of an Israeli aircraft, and a missile slammed into the wanted man’s car, killing him. Maria’s mother, seven-year-old brother, uncle and grandmother also died in the fireball. Maria’s spinal cord was severed and her lungs were punctured by shrapnel.

Cheney/Netanyahu/Kings and Queens are enjoying their wealth, crowns, diamonds, lands, companies, while the world is in war$s.
Afganistan, Pakistan, Lebanon, Gaza, Palestine, Sudan, Ethiopia, Sir Lanka, etc, etc, etc.
And the Bush family in Maine in vacations with the French neocon.

Remember this the next time Fancy Nancy kisses AIPACs collective ass! Politics is about money, who has it. I so do hope that Cindy Sheehan cleans her clock for her. I believe that this would empower many more candidates to run against incumbents and maybe take America back from these neo-cons before all is lost forever. Jim, we need more than a generations peace. Consider where the world could be without war, if resources were dedicated to peaceful ends. Possibly safer bridges.

Until Israel gets treated as the rogue terrorist nation that they are, the war on terror cannot possibly be won. Boycott Israel, no more weapons sales and no more aid to the Israeli murder machine.

Everyone sounds so strong an dominating. But no one would agree that if they were struck on the cheek, they would turn a blind eye. You’re all hypocrites. Because just like Isreal, if someone came into your home and started tearing up your crap, you’d beat the crap out of them too. It just sucks for those who get stuck in the middle.
