McClurkin: ‘God delivered me from homosexuality’

      Buck     October 29th, 2007 - 10:11 am

From CNN’s Political Ticker:

They accuse me of being anti-gay and a bigot. We don’t believe in discrimination. We don’t believe in hatred, and if you do you are in the wrong place at the wrong time. That’s the whole premise of God. That’s the whole premise of Christ is love, love, love. But there is a side of Christ that deals in judgment, and all sin is against God.

-Rev. Donnie McClurkin, at Sen. Obama’s campaign concert

McClurkin claims “homosexuality is a choice and that he overcame homosexual desires through prayer.

Of course this is pure hogwash! McClurkin is not gay and never has been. He’s obviously bisexual, and is repressing strong inner desires to do the nasty dance with big, burly men. Repressing is never good though. He’ll become more and more bitter over time until, one day, a security guard will arrest his ass in some public bathroom sting operation.

Mark my words.

Until that day, grit your teeth and try to come to terms with the fact that bigotry and christian idiocy (which are mostly one and the same) are protected rights in our country.

No Surprise: Congress’ Performance Lousy

I Fell Into A Burning Ring Of Fire
I Went Down, Down, Down
And The Flames Went Higher

Hey Pelosi, Reid and the rest of *yuns… read this!

Poll: 75 percent disapprove of Congress‘ performance

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Americans think Congress is doing a pretty lousy job, according to a poll released Friday.
[...]

Approval of congressional Democrats stands at 43 percent, twice that of Congress in general. The flip side, however, is that Democrats who control Congress still face a disapproval rating of 51 percent, a figure that has increased 11 percentage points since March. Video Watch a report on the new job approval numbers »

“The ratings for Congress overall have been mired in the mid- to low 20s for several months, but for most of the year, Americans have had a positive view of the Democrats in Congress,” said CNN polling director Keating Holland. “That’s not true any longer — this poll is the first time we have found majority disapproval for the Democratic leaders’ track record since they took control of Congress.”
[...]

Adds Holland, “The problem is that the dwindling popularity of the congressional Democrats will probably only make it harder for them to score any legislative victories — which is probably the only way to turn their approval numbers around.”

You Allegedly Compassionate Sons-Of-Bitches

      Buck     October 29th, 2007 - 12:26 am

John Cole, of Balloon Juice, has a must-read post up regarding Robin Prosser. Robin campaigned for the Montana Medical Marijuana Act. Unable to live with the pain of her autoimmune disease any longer, she took her own life.

I have had a couple drinks, so let’s be blunt (pardon the pun)- and this goes out to anyone, of any political persuasion, anywhere, who had a problem with this woman using marijuana to alleviate her pain (especially the alleged “conservative” federalists who can-t handle the thought of states making their own drug laws):

Go fuck yourself. To death.

I am tired of being patient with you nannies and your stupid self’serving rules and your slippery slopes and your bullshit and your need to be tough on crime and your earnest concerns about society. Mind your own business, get your own house in order, stop fucking interns and little boys and cheating on your wives and on your taxes and being found dead wearing two wetsuits with a dildo shoved up your ass. Just mind your own damned business, and let people do what they must to deal with their own screwed up lives, and let people handle their pain the best way they can.

I am sick of the bullshit. Life is hard for most people out there, and damned near impossible for people in chronic pain. Quit making it worse, you allegedly compassionate sons-of-bitches.

John Cole, Balloon Juice

John Cole, AMEN!
