Freedom’s Watch is spreading more lies

I don-t think there are too many people (at least Progressives) that believe the propoganda that’s coming out of Ari Fleischer’s “Freedom’s Watch” organization.

My calculated guess tells me that somebody at the White House has their puppet hand up Ari’s arse and telling him what to say and how to say it.

But now “Freedom’s Watch’s” newest target is the ever rising volume of the drum beating to attack Iran because “they-re a threat to the United States”.

Sure, they may be a terrorist state, maybe even helping the insurgency in Iraq. Then again, maybe they aren-t.

President Ahmadinejad’s recent speaking engagement at Columbia University brought cries of “traitor” from the right-wing pundits as well as the neo-cons sitting in the House and Senate.
As we heard in the introduction of the Iranian President by Columbia University’s President, there was name calling. That’s really not nice. Invite someone to your college to speak and “rip him a new one” in the intro is not what I call good old American hospitality.

Odd to think that it was George W. Bush who spread his doctrine of peace in the Middle East by attacking a country that (a) didn-t have anything to do with the attack on the World Trade Center, (b) has invaded a sovereign nation and has killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqi’s, (c) used our own version of “nukes” with bombs that left depleted uranium, (d) has screwed America out of billions of tax dollars by hiring cronies in no bid contracts to do nothing.

Whew. I could go on but the list is nearly endless.

Suffice it to say “Freedom’s Watch” is no more than another tactic by the right to work toward convincing what is now 29% of their support to attack another country that really, unless proven other-wise, has done nothing to us here in America.

When this ridiculous war mongering and profiteering will end is anyone’s guess.

I just hope it’s soon enough that we actually still have some freedom to watch.
