Well, that’s for a family, so each individual is more like $5,225. Considering how the deficit has skyrocketed, though, and there’s no end in the site, it’s still horrendous.

Natl. debt per citizen = $30,000. 9 trillion in debt, 300 million people. Unless every citizen on average has 30K in assets with no debt, we are already bankrupt as a nation.
