The president isn't only president of 35% of the country. As for Buchanan's pathetic attacks on Kerr, it's the same whining the Nixon crew did when Mark Felt was revealed as Deep Throat, claiming he should have directly challenged them - so that they could have destroyed him, of course. He beat them at their own game. I'm sure Buchanan would have given Kerr a big hug if he come out while in service. ;-) Really, it saves a lot of time and energy to acknowledge that almost every right-wing pundit is arguing in bad faith.
