Pet Peeve of the Day
Maybe I’ve been crabby the past few days, because little things are bothering me. I thought of something today when I was out and about. There were kids everywhere. Why? Because they are off today. Why? For Veteran’s Day. Now call me crazy, but I don’t know a SINGLE veteran who gets the day off with pay on Veteran’s Day. (unless they work at the post office, which of course was closed today when I tried to go there). Well, ok, there’s probably a thousands of veterans off today, but those are the homeless and out of work veterans. Kids are out of school, yet they are not veterans. Isn’t it kind of stupid to have a holiday and the living men and women the holiday honors have to work???? They had a real nice veteran’s day parade here in town. How many veterans actually got to see it? I’m just sayin…..
