CIA Destoyed Torture Tapes Despite Court Order

You know what. If impeachment doesn’t get put smack dab in the middle of the table this country is in for a world of hurt. These guys are begging for it. They continue to break law after law after law, to ignore the constitution and then smirk about it. By not, at the very least, starting impeachment investigations, we are telling every future president and administration that criminal behavior is A-ok. It’s sickening. The Democrats should be ashamed of themselves for not starting impeachment procedings immediately upon taking control in 06. I think my brother is right. Impeachment is off the table because they are accessories.

The Bush administration was under court order not to discard evidence of detainee torture and abuse months before the CIA destroyed videotapes that revealed some of its harshest interrogation tactics.

Normally, that would force the government to defend itself against obstruction allegations. But the CIA may have an out: its clandestine network of overseas prisons.

While judges focused on the detention center in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and tried to guarantee that any evidence of detainee abuse would be preserved, the CIA was performing its toughest questioning half a world away. And by the time President Bush publicly acknowledged the secret prison system, interrogation videotapes of two terrorism suspects had been destroyed.

Pelosi has definitely gotta go. I know alot of people think Sheehan is over the top (because she makes sense) but I hope she trounces all over Pelosi in 08.

This Administration is no different than any other organized criminal enterprise, whether it be the Mafia or your typical street gang, in that the key to stopping snitchs or defectors is having them commit, or at the least be a co-conspirator or accessory to a crime to ensure they stay within the fold. For reasons only they themselves know, some members of Congress made some very stupid decisions making them complicit in the crimes of the Bush/Cheney Administration that sealed their fate in the fold, some of which are now being exposed. Pelosi and the other members of Congress who were informed of the torture years ago and did nothing about it then, when they could and legally should have, lends alot of credibility to my reasoning, doesn’t it? How could they possibly prosecute this now without incriminating themselves? They can’t. It’s like being in the mafia or a street gang, once you’re in, you’re in for good, there is no way out without incriminating yourself. Their newly exposed complicity in these crimes (torture was and still is a crime) is inexcusable, unethical, immoral and in direct contradiction to their sworn oath to the Constitution and Bill of Rights and should also be considered a criminal impeachable offense. There is no fucking excuse for this shit. NONE. Following their rationale would be like a cop looking the other way and ignoring a criminal in the act of a crime and then when the criminal comes back later and tells you he’s going to destroy evidence of his crime you don’t do anything but tell him not to destroy it. Would that be acceptable? Hell no, the cop should be fired for malfeasance and dereliction of duty and possibly charged with obstruction of justice, and being an accessory before and after the crime. No wonder Pelosi threw impeachment off the table as if it were plague ridden, considering these latest revelations she would possibly be impeaching herself. Me thinks it might be time for some good old fashioned civil disobedience. They want to ignore the rule of law and live in a lawless society, why don’t we join them?

Throw them all out. Our criminal government, protecting itself, screwing us all.
