Some states are more progressive than others but that doesn't help me here. I became educated about it in 2004 when I became serious about politics and wanting to be involved. ACLU casually ignores inquirys about it even though I am a member. My hope is to move to a more progressive state and apply there. I was in trouble one time and over 30 years ago. I believe that I paid my debt in full, every single day of sentence. No parole, no probation. Cynthia McKinney is located in GA, I believe that their laws are different there. Seems to me when a person has done his time, the slate should be wiped clean. Further, I don't understand the logic as to why a person should lose his right to vote under ANY circumstance to begin with (except maybe treason?). Am I missing something?
