recent security gains in Iraq are both fragile and reversible
Yah, and they will be fragile and reversible whether we leave today or 100 years from today. Should we stay and watch more Americans be killed and watch the economy in the “homeland”, as you like to call it, go down the drain because of it…..or should we cut our losses and stop this HUGE failure now? Hmmmmm…… such a hard decision.
Baghdad’s heavily fortified “Green Zone” came under heavy rocket or mortar attack on Sunday, and police said up to eight people had been killed by rockets falling short outside the government and diplomatic compound.
The missile attack on the Green Zone came amid an increase in violence in the capital and in the northern city of Mosul, underlining warnings by U.S. military commanders that recent security gains in Iraq are both fragile and reversible.
