Hillary Clinton has been much more imperialistic and hawkish in her policies, votes and rhetoric and at times Orwellian in her language. There are good things about her too, and she's far better than McCain, but those other factors tip the balance for me.

Buck, Obama might lose Indiana, which is very conservative. I heard (but want to confirm) one poll that cited that 41% of Indiana residents (or was it likely Dem voters?) had their opinion of Obama drop somewhat because of Wright. Obama is predicted to win North Carolina, though, and that may be the kicker. Not that it will be. But Dean has apparently pleaded with the superdelegates to make their decision after the states' primaries are over, which would be in June.

PA_Lady, sometimes I think I'm standing too close. That if I took a few steps back and gave myself a rest, maybe I could see things a bit clearer in a few days.

Just way too much info being thrown at us from every angle. Hard to register it all.

I know what you mean, Buck. I support her, but mostly because after all this campaigning and all the debates and all the blather, he just isn't telling me anything about the issues that matter to me.

Clinton is not my ideal candidate. In fact, when this mess started over a year ago, I was an "ABC" voter - anybody but Clinton. Then I went for Edwards. He was the closest I could get to the 80% rule (I agree with 80%, disagree with 20%) and he was somewhere around 65%.

Finally I got to the point where, if I absolutely must choose one, why not the one who thinks universal healthcare should be a given, who thinks we should close Gitmo, and start withdrawing troops w/in 60 days of her inauguration, who believes in reproductive choice and ending the global gag rule? Sure, I only agree with probably a quarter to a half of her positions, but I'm not even sure what Obama's are.

Of course, now that I've voted (and it mattered!), my opinion counts for... nada.

I'm just barely gonna be able to make it to the voting booth in November as it is. That's how discouraged I am.

But if my only choice for president falls between two republicans, I'll probably just stay home.

I know it sounds like I'm 100% behind Obama - I'm not. My problem is with the way Hillary operates. I just can't feel good about someone that seems to have taken some lessons from the 2000 and 2004 Bush campaign team.

I hate dirty politicking.

Neither of them can "win" the required number of delegates unless the other drops out, or Obama wins the rest of the primaries - which isn't going to happen, and is why the superdelegate votes are so important this year.

Obama's problem isn't money, it's message. He outspent Clinton 3:1 in PA, but lost by nearly 10% because people are wanting answers about issues, not "process." And a lot of them don't believe the "kumbaya talk" about how all we need is <strike>love</strike> ... unity.

Buck: What's turning me off isn't so much that the media continues to promote trivialities as being so damned important to becoming President (bowling scores, pastors, etc.) rather than substantive issues; it's that the far too many of the A-listers who were supposed to be the "new media" are doing the same thing.

I guess they crashed the gates just to close them again?

QG, this fight is getting so old.

I'm sure I'm not the only one being turned off by it.

I think what they are saying is his money doesn't insure that he'll win the rest of the primary states. The arguments I've read online state that even if she won all the remaining primaries, she can't pass him up on delegates.
