Clinton Slams Obama’s Ex-Pastor on Fox
In excerpts of an upcoming interview with Fox’s Bill O’Reilly, Hillary Clinton says that incendiary remarks made by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright were “offensive and outrageous.” Wright, Barack Obama’s ex-pastor, recently praised Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and said the U.S. created the AIDS virus to harm blacks.
“I think that he made his views clear, finally, that he disagreed. And I think that’s what he had to do,” Clinton said in an interview with Fox News commentator Bill O’Reilly. The network released excerpts of the taped interview ahead of its airing Wednesday night.
It was the former first lady’s first appearance on the O’Reilly show, the most popular Fox News program and a staple of conservative media. Over the years, O’Reilly has been a staunch critic of both the New York senator and her husband, former President Bill Clinton.
Know this: Hillary’s appearance on O’Reilly’s program was NOT to make points. Given the forum, the host and, most importantly, the audience, that would be impossible. No. Her appearance was to help cut Obama down a few more notches.
If you disagree, then I have something for you to ponder. If Hillary’s appearance had been obscured, her image grayed out and her voice masked, would you really have thought O’Reilly was interviewing a democrat?
