Seagull?
Buck May 28th, 2008 - 10:05 amThis bird was out walking around my parents’ front yard this morning. QuestionGirl, is this a seagull?
Had one heck of a storm last night. Is it possible the poor thing got blown here from so far away?

Sure looks like one Buck. Make yourself a Rum Runner, put an umbrella in it and pretend you’re on an island.

Hey Buck, the wind was blowin the wrong way for that. With the rising sea levels maybe this is just an early bird staking a claim before the rest of the population gets there. Stormed here too, still raining with more on the way. I lived in the “Land of pleasant living” on the shores of the Chesapeake bay for a long time and came to hate Sleaze Gulls. Think that pigeons are flying shit factories? Wait until this bloviated seafood dieted flying can of shit actually lets go while flying over your car or truck. It eats the paint, toxic waste!

Thanks for the heads-up, Buck… Good grief. I hope the little rat flies home then!
Actually, I just got back from rounding up a couple of horses that got out over night. Coming back from dads just now, that bird circled overhead about three times, then flew off towards the east and disappeared into some fog. Probably the last I’ll see of him.

We’ve got seagulls in West Texas. I have to agree with other Buck, they’re pretty worthless. They have taken up residence at the landfill. I have no idea how they got there, but they’ve been there for 20+ years…
