The following are a collection of comments I ran across this morning I thought would brighten (or perhaps darken) your day.
Read them. Enjoy them. And, as a friendly reminder, always be sure to store your ammo in a separate place away from your firearms.
McCain will easily win in November. He is leading Obama in every swing’state. The main problem with Obama is that he won’t even get votes from his own party, the white blue collar dems. The vast majority will not be voting for Obama. Poll after poll after poll proves that. Plus, you can see how easy it is to get Obama on TILT, that is because he is too thin skinned and his inexperience.
Hey libs, keep drinking that kool-aid!

I think there is no question that the Republican party, which historically was a very “moderate” party, needs to return to its “moderate” state onced again. It’s ok to enbrace conservative values and great Supreme Court justices like John Roberts and balancing the budget and reforming our out-of-control social programs. America is a “center-right” country. This is exactly where McCain is politically which is why he should win in November because I believe Obama is too far to the left to win, plus tremendous inexperience and no record of accomplishments. Obama’s town of Chicago had 47 killings in April which I believe are more than what the US had in all of Iraq. Bottom line is McCain “knows” what he needs to do. You can tell that he does because he’s appearing on a lot of TV programs that Republicans tradionally don’t hang out on…..John Stewart, SNL, and late night shows with Jay Leno and the like. The Republican party must return to its orgins and I believe that John knows how to do that.

“perception50″ couldn’t be satisfied with making a fool out of him/herself just once. He/she opted for a double-header:
It’s good that McCain is from the West and it would be wise of him to pick a veep from a region outside of the South. The GOP is being “sterotyped” as a red-neck party from the South from the Democrats and the liberal press. John should pick Mitt Romney as his veep if he wants to move the party in the right direction and enhance our chances of winning the White House in 2008. Mitt is from Massachusetts but he comes from a “moderate” Republican family that was very popular in the Midwest when his “moderate” father was a popular 3-term governor of Michigan. Adding Mitt to the ticket would help McCain out in the West (Colorado, New Mexico, and Nevada). Mitt would also help McCain out in the Mid-west in states like Michigan (which the Dems won’t recognize as a US state), Minnesota (which Mitt won during the primaries), and Wisconsin. In the Norheat Mitt would help McCain in New Hampshire, where both men are liked by the voters there. And finally Mitt might help take Massachusetts if Obama is the candidate as he lost that state to Hillary pretty bad.

If Republicans follow McCain, they will lose even more seats than they are already going to lose this fall. Have any of them noticed that McCain is not trying to lead the Republicans - he is simply trying to get McCain elected President? People want a choice not a clone of the democrats. Ronald Reagan did not have to move left to win big in 2 elections. Yet, more conservative democrats who voted for him became known as Reagan democrats (and they are NOT voting for Obama in the primaries). I can’t believe all the Republican tin ears in congress! They were warned in 2006 - and did not listen and lost Congress. They are still not listening. Following McCain is not the answer. A return to what worked - real conservative values of LESS government and taxes and more personal freedom works every time. By trying to protect their power following McCain’s method, they will surely lose it.

Nothing could be further from the truth. McCain is a maverick alright, but not a conservative and certainly not a Republican. The pendulum has swung too far left and now the party will correct itself to it’s roots. The reason for some losses is we need to get rid of the RINO’s that have infiltrated the party and that will mean losses. Sometimes you have to go backwards to speed forward. Washington and the media pollutes politicians. How do they go there middle class and a few years later shows millions in the bank and work 2 1/2 day weeks on our tax money. If McCain wins and that’s a big if because he is not getting our votes. We will not vote for President UNLESS the right VP is on the ticket. At least there will be hope. We are voting down tickets candidates that will adhere to the conservative values and respect the constitution. None of the 3 candidates are any good. All will make this country unsafe once again. People can take a look and see what got the Islamists shorts all in a bundle, it doesn’t take a genius to see why they hate us a culture. Look at Hollywood and the films they put out. Sex, hate and violence. Take a look at the magazines. The racier, the better to get noticed. The “in” in being gay. There are no values anymore. Hey, California, why not declare that you are no longer a part of the US and most of our problems will go away. Take a look at the environmentalists that won’t let this country be self sufficient in using our own oil. Then there are the politicians that want money pouring into their coffers more than they want this country to succeed. They hate this Country. George Bush may be perceived as a disaster and hated. Hey, you out there, how many pollsters have ever called you to ask questions. I’m 56 and have never been asked one stupid poll question. Quite telling. But, as is everything else today, it’s a total media myth. You should all thank your lucky stars for George Bush keeping us safe and having the strength to do what he has done to get us to this point. Yep, his spending stinks, and that is exactly what we need another conservative for. Not John McCain, not Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton. We are screwed for the next 4 years, and I mean that for the entire Country. Thank you Mike Huckabee for seeing to that, you jerk.

John McCain is clearly going to be the next President.
