Looks like Germany has a crush on Obama, as does France and England.

The open air speech is expected to draw crowds of up to a million people and will echo historic speeches made in the city by presidents John F Kennedy and Ronald Reagan.

While Senator Obama is still only the Democratic candidate, polls show that almost 75 per cent of Germans are willing him to win November’s election to America’s highest office.

“Hopefully [the speech] will be viewed as a substantive articulation of the relationship I’d like to see between the United States and Europe,” Mr Obama said in Israel shortly before leaving for Germany.
