Video: Interrogation Of Guantanamo Bay Prisoner
by Buck

They call this an abusive interrogation? I’ve witnessed first-hand much more abuse in job interviews!

Lawyers for a Canadian prisoner at Guantanamo Bay released excerpts of videotaped interrogations Tuesday, providing a first-ever glimpse into the secretive world of questioning enemy combatants at the isolated U.S. prison in Cuba.

Actually, this is just a tamer segment of a larger, ten-minute video that was released. Techniques range anywhere from putting prisoners in “stress positions” for as long as four hours, hood them and subject them to 20-hour-long interrogations, “fear of dogs” and “mild non-injurious physical contact,” to full-blown waterboarding.

We may never know the full extent of abuse these prisoners have had to endure. One thing is pretty much a given though, American prisoners in future wars can pretty much kiss the protections of the Geneva conventions good-bye - thanks to the Bush White House.
