Very similar parallels exist between Pakistan and the U.S.: both believe in democracy and both are being run by despots. But only Pakistan has the good sense and backbone to toss their despot out on his ear! America has fraidy cats.

Pakistan coalition to pursue Musharraf impeachment

(CNN) — In a move hailed as “good news for democracy,” the head of Pakistan’s ruling coalition announced Thursday that the coalition will pursue impeachment against President Pervez Musharraf.

“The coalition confirmed the resolve that democratic forces will work jointly to making a transition to genuine democracy,” the head of Pakistan People’s Party Asif Ali Zardari said, reading a joint communique with his coalition partners. [...]
