Too bad Obama doesn’t have Juan Cole on his foreign policy team. Professor Cole has a follow up post up titled “Only a “For America” PAC Can Stop the Madness,” in which he talks about AIPAC and its power over congress, and how to stop it. He believes, and rightfully so, that all the protests in the streets of America aren’t going to change our foreign policy regarding Israel due to the mass amount of money and power AIPAC holds over our congress. Among other things, he suggests we send money to the 5 congress people who voted against the resolution supporting Israel’s recent attack on Palestine, and the 22 who voted present, because AIPAC is already planning on getting them ousted.
