I’m not saying Barack is a God loon*. I just think that the religious crowd has way too much pull in Washington to simply be pushed aside. They’ve proven themselves quite the force to be reckoned with. They are the reason “We the people” never truly applied. You see, in religion, we’re all brothers and sisters unto the Lord – up until you do something that irks others. Then you’re pushed out of the crowd, judged, told your going to burn in hell for all eternity, and then have your American Constitutional rights stripped from you by some political bean bag who caters to the religious nut crowd. That’s the America I see anyways.
Obama says faith shouldn’t be used to divide
WASHINGTON (AP) — [tag]President Barack Obama[/tag] is telling the [tag]National Prayer Breakfast[/tag] that even though faith too often has been used “as a tool to divide us from one another,” there is no [tag]religion[/tag] in the world that is based on hatred.
Obama, in prepared remarks, said, “There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being.”
Obama is also telling the gathering that the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships that he is announcing Thursday won’t favor any religious group, or favor religious groups over secular groups.
He says it will help organizations that want to “work on behalf of our communities,” without “blurring the line” between [tag]church and state[/tag].
*God loon- Anyone who embraces his religious beliefs to the detriment of the laws of his country.
