On Texas Gov. Rick Perry: Leading, Or Running?
by Buck • Thursday, April 16th, 2009 - 11:54 amThere are a lot of thoughtful, caring, intelligent people scattered throughout Texas. I feel sorry for them. They love their state, but are stuck with a dumbass for a governor.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry. A man who openly admits that, instead of fighting the good fight, he’d rather cut and run. What a leader. I shudder to think where we’d be today if our Founding Fathers had been more like him.
Texans deserve better than this.

(CNN) — Texas Gov. Rick Perry isn’t ruling out the possibility his state may one day secede from the nation.
Speaking to an energetic and angry tea party crowd in Austin Wednesday evening, the Lone Star State governor suggested secession may happen in the future should the federal government not change its fiscal polices.
“There’s a lot of different scenarios,” Perry said. “We’ve got a great union. There’s absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what might come out of that. But Texas is a very unique place, and we’re a pretty independent lot to boot.”

Texas has some pockets of sanity and decent people, but overall, it's crazy.

Let these idiots go if they want. We should have done this during the Civil War. They are a drag on us. Without their idiotic ideas which effect elections, we would be a normal civilized country. Let them have their backward, heavily armed third-world theocracy, and we'll move on with health care, stem cell and other scientific research, and won't always be getting into stupid wars. They are traitors to the real American values enshrined in the constitution that were handed down to us from the enlightenment philosophers. The cost of having these uneducated morons in the same union with us didn't stop with the Civil War. It continues to this very day, and won't stop until they make good on their threat to leave.

In case no one remembers, Rick Perry was W's hand-picked, fair-haired boy. Governor Perry thinks he will win the good ol' boy vote for shouting secession. He's running against a former cheerleader from SMU. NOW would be the perfect time to get Kinky Friedman back in the race. At least he was willing to take care of our teachers.

There was talk of "if you think the last guy was bad, wait til you get a load of this guy" when Perry got in. I guess they were right.
Johncon..... I'm with you. Let em go. The dope better watch what idea he plants... the idiots may give him what he wants. He's as bad as Palin.

Fucking GO already! After 150 years, these blithering infantile idiots STILL cannot get over the fact that they LOST the fucking Civil War. Enough! Leave! Take your foot-stamping adolescent resentment and secede. Adios and good riddance! By the way, be sure to let us know how that works out for ya.
