Scared Shitless
by Buck • Sunday, April 19th, 2009 - 10:11 amIt’s rare these days to come upon a caring republican with half a brain. Meghan McCain stands out as a lone flower in a field of barbed, hate-filled weeds.
Meghan makes several good points. The republican party is certainly at a crossroad. The divide between the old and new GOP is widening more each day. And even though I can’t help but smile at the prospect of a broken GOP, America isn’t served without equally opposing parties.
Meghan McCain warns of looming civil war in the GOP
WASHINGTON (CNN) – Meghan McCain warned a group of gay Republicans Saturday that there was “a war brewing in the Republican Party” – a war between the past and the future.
“Most of the old school Republicans are scared s***less of that future,” she told a gathering of the Log Cabin Republicans, a group of gay and lesbian party members. [...]
“I feel too many Republicans want to cling to past successes…I think we’re seeing a war brewing in the Republican Party,” she said. “But it is not between us and Democrats. It is not between us and liberals. It is between the future and the past…
“I am concerned about the environment. I love to wear black. I think government is best when it stays out of people’s lives and business as much as possible. I love punk rock. I believe in a strong national defense. I have a tattoo. I believe government should always be efficient and accountable. I have lots of gay friends. And yes, I am a Republican,” she told a cheering crowd.
And to those dippy Log Cabin Republicans, please note that Meghan McCain said only that she had gay friends. I seriously doubt anyone in the republican party is ready to give you guys true equality.

I think it's fair to say that most republicans have gay friends. They just don't know it, just can't accept it or refuse to acknowledge that they're gay themselves. Eric Cantor comes to mind. There's a man screaming out to be gay. He reminds me of Kevin Klein in "In and Out".
Ok, aside from that, this girl is asking for a total dressing down and a Fox News smear piece that will see her and her family (yes, John and Cindy WILL PAY!) go down in the flames of righteous right-wing wrath from people like Pat Robertson, James Dobson, Ted Haggard, Jerry Falwell rising from the grave,(maybe even Pat Buchanan as well...) and any other religious loon, not to mention the punditocracy of poopiness that is the Republican base of all smelly evangelistic nonsense that can ever be imagined by the normal common-sense, thinking-type people of this bloody planet.
I can't think why they wouldn't flog her over this, can you?
I need a pill. I've got worked up over this in anticipation of the reaction. HELP!

Take one look at that fat slob and then tell me why you pay attention to anything that she says. Do you not understand that she is a fat slob for a reason?
