If an indictment is <em>not</em> forthcoming her behavior pretty much follows her history of using people and things until they are no longer useful to her and then discarding them at her convenience and never looking back. Politics got her fame and notoriety and the likelihood of her getting elected to another political office is pretty much nil so she figured it's time to bail on being a politician in favor of cashing in on the fame and notoriety she got from holding political office. Palin has nothing more to gain personally by being the Governor of Alaska and she knows it. In that regard Palin's move is anything but shocking or stunning, it's pretty much par for the course. Being the Governor of Alaska is no longer useful to Palin, plain and simple. Like she said, "life is too short."
