At John Kerry's meeting yesterday in El Paso TX to investigate and possibly curtail the drug cartel violence across the border was told by a UTEP (University of Texas El Paso) professor that the way to do this is to end the prohibition of Marijuana. He said that when you take the profit out of the deal the cartels lose interest. Simple HUH?
Makes the most sense, Buck. But that religious crowd won't have any of it.

Not the religious crowd, money people as in Congress critters, Senators and even ex-vice prez. Own stock in or outright own these prisons and are paid a daily amount to house, feed, guard and generally harass these miscreants. Services for incarcerated is getting to be big business also. Did you watch the Bob Dylan movie called Masked and Anonymous. In it he remarked that "Keeping people from being free is turning into big business" Or something like that, but it is absolutely true. In any governmental discussion of prisons or prisoners the first thing mention is how much it costs per prisoner to operate these torture facilities.

Oh yeah, the more prisoners that they have the more money that you and I give them to incarcerate our children and brothers and sisters the better that they like it. A police state cannot exist without criminals. If you do not have enough criminals what you do is pass laws that cannot be obeyed.
