I was playing this song as a bass player in a tribute band called "Psi-Bek" back in the early 80's. As a bass player, I was never allowed the scope to add any of my own touches. The guitarist never played this song properly as he would pick it and would end up making it sound tinny and harsh as opposed to that beautifully thumbed, mellow sound that Beck used to get. I told him that it sounded like shit. I ended up looking for another band.
