QG:

I can't stand snakes, either. I have a rattlesnake tail that my Mother-in-law gave to me. (I think it was hers LOL)

Buck:

:shame: (hehehe)

Buck in NM:

Buck, Rattlesnake Ridge on the App. Trail above Erwin? Unaka Mtn?

Buck:

Buck, this one is in McCreary Co., Ky. Do you know where Oneida, TN is? We're right above that, across the state line.

Buck in NM:

I guess that there is more than one. 6 or 7 years back I found one of those 48" timber rattlers down by the creek. This snake was massive. Hard to believe the chunk of muscle that it was.

Buck:

Funny thing about Rattlesnake Ridge. Even though I've seen my share of rattlers, there were many more "copperheads" to be found.

Buck in NM:

A friend was bit by a copperhead about 4-5 years back. Reaching under a trailer to fish a piece of co-ax out. Came close to losing his hand and even now it is deformed and painful almost all the time. I didn't get to grow up there so I missed a lot of natural stuff. No I don't know where Oneida is. Much of TN/KY geography escapes me.

Buck:

Trust me, you haven't missed a whole lot. ;-)

Buck in NM:

As much as I had wanted to live in TN all my life and loving the terrain. The Great Smoky Mtns are majestic in their own right. Like QG said about no lack of stupid in FL, TN cannot be far behind. Even my mother says that she finds it hard to believe that so many stupid people live in one place. Genetics or just sheeple? So far I am loving life in NM. Different world here.

Buck:

I bet it's nice there, Buck. I'm glad you made it out there OK.

:-)
