Not content to advocate for banning women from voting, Ann Coulter’s just said that “We just want Jews to be perfected”… by converting to Christianity.
Oh, but there’s much more. Hey, she’s been a bigot to virtually every other group already! Why not spread the hatred?
(There may be better copies of this interview up later, but this one covers the key lines I’ve heard reported so far. Please note that there are commercials in the middle you can scroll through.)

WASHINGTON - Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards on Wednesday encouraged his supporters to donate to his campaign in response to “hateful” comments from conservative author Ann Coulter.
Edwards made his first comments to The Associated Press in response to Coulter’s suggestion that she wished he would be “killed in a terrorist assassination plot.” His campaign cited her remarks in two e-mails and a telephone text message to supporters for donations, with the fundraising deadline on Saturday.
It’s not the first time Coulter has given the Edwards campaign a financial boost. In March, she called Edwards a “faggot” and the campaign used video of the comment to help raise $300,000 before the end of the first quarter.
In the e-mails, the campaign asked supporters to send donations to defy her remarks and help Edwards meet his goal of raising $9 million in the second quarter. The first e-mail from campaign adviser Joe Trippi showed a clip of Coulter on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” where she made the comments on Monday.
In answering criticism of her March speech, Coulter referred to comedian Bill Maher’s suggestion, also in March, that “people wouldn’t be dying needlessly” if Vice President Dick Cheney had been killed when terrorists launched an attack as he visited Afghanistan. She contends that Maher - whose comment about Cheney drew little attention - was not joking. “So I’ve learned my lesson,” she said on the ABC program. “If I’m going to say anything about John Edwards in the future, I’ll just wish he had been killed in a terrorist assassination plot.”

Yesterday Chris Matthews had Ann Coulter on Hardball. During the show, she stated she wished John Edwards would be killed in a terrorist attack. This isn’t that unusual, as we all know she’s a psychobitch who deserves no airtime. But Matthews response was…….”How should I read that?” HUH???? How should you read that? How about you read it that she’s a psychobitch and if you have NO BALLS because you allow her to spew such hateful crap without telling her it’s not acceptable.
I am in the dining room today and I hear the psychobitch’s voice on the tube……and lo and behold, she’s on his show again today!!!! Spewing her lies and misinformation and Matthews not saying a word to disspell the crap that’s shooting out of her mouth.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr I just had to say something about this. I’m so sick of these “News” networks having whacked out Republicans on who shoot off lie after lie after lie and never get called on them by the hosts. I’m sick her anorexic ass spewing hate and never being called on it.
I’d lay odds if a Democrat went on and said they wished Bush would be killed by a terrorist attack, they’d be in friggin Gitmo, never to be heard from again.
Did the Republicans pull her out to prance her around so the discussion wouldn’t be focused on Cheney? Huh Tweety? Were you given the order…..have the psychobitch on and let her shoot off her mouth and don’t talk about anything important. Like the REAL NEWS????
Elizabeth Edwards did just call in and give the psychobitch what for. And when Coulter is called on her hatefulness and lies, she always looks like an ass because she can’t respond in a coherent, intellligent way. She couldn’t even respond.
To Elizabeth Edwards…… You Go Girl!!!!
Why oh why oh why oh do I watch tv? Well, in this case, it was worth it to hear Elizabeth Edwards totally smash this psychobitch.

PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales won American newspaper columnists‘ annual “Sitting Duck Award” for being an easy target.
“This is our way of saying thanks for the low-hanging fruit,” said Samantha Bennett, vice president of the National Society of Newspaper Columnists and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette columnist.
Gonzales was widely ridiculed for his appearance before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee in April to answer questions about the firing of eight U.S. attorneys amid accusations they had been dismissed for political reasons.
Asked to explain his role in the firings, Gonzales said, “I don’t recall” or “I have no recollection” 64 times, inviting criticism from even Republican senators, one of whom, Tom Coburn, called for his resignation.
Mike Argento, president of the society, explained Gonzales’ selection, “We gave it to him but we can’t remember why.”
The Justice Department did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment on Monday.
Previous winners have included political commentator Ann Coulter, who was recognized in 2006 for “cheapening political discourse in America” and former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld in 2004.

Allegations of vote fraud against republican professional hatemonger Ann Coulter have apparently been cleared… but with a twist:
From the blog Greatscat!:
Conservative pundit Ann Coulter has been cleared of allegations that she falsified her Palm Beach County voter’s registration and voted illegally - this, after a high-level FBI agent made unsolicited phone calls to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office to vouch for Coulter.
The caller wasn’t just any G-man. According to PBSO documents, he was Supervisory Special Agent Jim Fitzgerald, of the FBI Academy’s Behavioral Analysis Unit in Quantico, Va. - the closest reality gets to the serial-killer catchers on CBS’ Criminal Minds.
So why would an FBI profiler who went after the Unabomber take time from his busy day to even think about a municipal election snafu?
Fitzgerald is mum. But when the bureau heard about this from Page Two, it immediately launched an internal review of the agent’s involvement.
“We’re looking into it,” bureau spokeswoman Ann Todd said.
She declined to say whether Fitzgerald acted on his personal behalf or as an FBI agent or on someone else’s orders.
Special request: Any pro-Bush, pro-Limbaugh, pro-Coulter, (…etc) republican that may happen onto this site and read this story, would you please leave a comment, telling our other readers that this really is the America you want?

NEW YORK At least two more daily newspapers — The Oakland Press of Michigan and The Mountain Press of Sevierville, Tenn. — have dropped Ann Coulter’s column. A daily in Pennsylvania had dropped the column two days ago.
Oakland Press Editorial Page Editor Allan Adler, when reached this morning by E&P, said Coulter’s use of the word “faggot” in a Friday speech was “definitely a factor” in the decision. He also read a statement from his paper that went as follows:
“When we picked up Ann Coulter, it was because we felt we needed a conservative columnist .. and we knew she had a following. She certainly no longer represents conservatism and apparently is more interested in being a celebrity. We are searching for a new columnist and will no longer be running Coulter.”
The Oakland Press had picked up Coulter’s column last summer and, since then, the Universal Press Syndicate feature “probably drew many more letters to the editor pro and con than any national column we run,” said Adler.
In a story today on its Web site, The Mountain Press said it dropped Coulter because of her “distasteful and irresponsible comments over the weekend about a presidential candidate. Coulter referred to Democratic candidate John Edwards as a ‘faggot’ in a Friday speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference. Her comments were denounced by both Republicans and Democrats,” the Tennesse paper noted.

“C-mon, it was a joke. I would never insult gays by suggesting that they are like John Edwards. That would be mean.” -Coulter
Where she (rarely) lacks in antipathy, she makes up for in witless banter.
From CNN.com:
Coulter under fire for anti-gay slur
WASHINGTON (CNN) — Prominent politicians from both parties and a gay-rights group on Saturday condemned right-wing commentator Ann Coulter for her reference Friday to Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards as a “faggot.”
[...]
Coulter made her comment in Washington during an address to the 34th annual meeting of the Conservative Political Action Conference, during which she gave her opinions about the Democrats’ slate of presidential hopefuls.
“I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate, John Edwards, but it turns out that you have to go into rehab if you use the word ‘faggot,’ so I’m - so, kind of at an impasse, can’t really talk about Edwards, so I think I’ll just conclude here and take your questions,” said Coulter, whose comment was followed by applause.
CNN has reached out to Coulter’s representative, and received no response.
But the New York Times reported that she responded, in an e-mail, “C’mon, it was a joke. I would never insult gays by suggesting that they are like John Edwards. That would be mean.”
Many from both sides of the aisle denounced Coulter’s remarks.
A spokesman for Sen. John McCain, a Republican presidential candidate, called Coulter’s comments to the conservative group “wildly inappropriate.”
In a written statement, Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Massachusetts, said, “Ann Coulter’s words of hate have no place in the public sphere much less our political discourse. Not only should she apologize but those who participated in the conference with her should denounce her shameful and divisive actions.”
“Ann Coulter’s use of this anti-gay slur is vile and unacceptable,” said Neil G. Giuliano, president of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, “and the applause from her audience is an important reminder that Coulter’s ugly brand of bigotry is at the root of the discriminatory policies being promoted at this gathering.”
In a written statement, Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean called on Republicans to denounce her remarks. “There is no place in political discourse for this kind of hate-filled and bigoted comments,” he said.
And, to add insult to injury, more Coulter bat-guano:
During a question-and-answer session, Coulter referred back to the issue of gays by alluding to the bid for the Republican presidential nomination being made by former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
“I do want to point out one thing that has been driving me crazy with the media — how they keep describing Mitt Romney’s position as being pro-gays, and that’s going to upset the right wingers,” she said. “Well, you know, screw you! I’m not anti-gay. We’re against gay marriage. I don’t want gays to be discriminated against.”
She added, “I don’t know why all gays aren’t Republican. I think we have the pro-gay positions, which is anti-crime and for tax cuts. Gays make a lot of money and they’re victims of crime. No, they are! They should be with us.”
A spokesman for Romney called Coulter’s use of the slur “offensive.”
I realize the woman(?) thrives on attention and that we only add fuel to the fire by talking about her. But since the GOP continues to insist on having her speak at their conferences, we must continue to hit home that her bigoted, hate-filled homophobic views apparently represent those of her fellow republicans.
