The following list of books are the ones Sarah Palin had banned (for roughly three months) from the local library. She also threatened to have the librarian fired for “refusing to honor the request of the Mayor.” How God damn sick is this? What the fuck is wrong with her?
Palin, on the Grapes Of Wrath:
The book is full of filth. My children are being raised in a good Christian home and this book takes the Lord’s name in vain and has all kinds of profanity in it. How am I able to teach my daughter proper morals: when this book, she is able to get her hands on it and read it…giving her bad ideals about the proper way to conduct herself?
The next logical sequence of events would involve the burning of bodies, right?
The list:

MSNBC.com asks: What do you think of Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., as Barack Obama’s choice for his running mate?
Not everyone is happy. Those who had high hopes of having Hillary Clinton picked as VP are particularly upset:
- should have picked Hillary!! - starfish-441002
- He needed a more high profile candidate, with a strong political standing. Like hilorey clinton. sorry he lost my vote. - pa democrat
- I am VERY disappointed in selection of a dated establishment insider instead of someone who would bring meaningful change to DC. - S Smith-441025
- As a Hillary Clinton supporter this makes it even easier to vote for McCain. - Marilyn-441043
- I am a Hillary Democrat and he lost my vote. This one of 18 million won’t be voting for the ticket. he should have picked Hillary!! - txforhillary
- HILLARY SHOULD HAVE BEEN HIS CHOICE IF MR. OBAMA INTENDS TO WIN… - NEW YORK HILLAR SUPPORTER - D. WEBBER
Are these people those republicans that Rush Limbaugh commanded to screw up the democratic voting process, or a bunch of whiners that would rather see the great American project come to an end if they can’t have their way?
Crybabies: They’re not just in the republican party any more.

Just now got the following in an email.
I suppose if I shot off an email stating that Larry the Cable Guy sleeps with little boys, I’d quickly find myself on the nasty end of a lawsuit. But, yet, he and his fellow religious-right republicans have no qualms lying their heads off just to convince people not to vote for Obama.
It’s a damn shame they have to make shit up just to get their way. Isn’t this how your typical twelve-year-old acts?
I don’t care who you are or what you believe in, this is funny.

Barack Obama, the lead Presidential Democratic Party candidate, is for
banning all guns in America . He is considered by those who have dealt
with him as a bit more than just a little self-righteous.
At a recent rural elementary school assembly in East Texas , he asked
the audience for total quiet. Then, in the silence, he started to
slowly clap his hands once every few seconds, holding the audience in
total silence.
Then he said into the microphone, ‘Children, every time I clap my hands
together, a child in America dies from gun violence.’
Then, little Richard Earl, with a proud East Texas drawl, pierced the
quiet and said: ”Well, dumb-ass, stop clapping!’

…there’s an all-white jury involved.
I would love to be the principal of this school. If this boy wins the case on retrial, I would be resolute to let the children wear whatever the hell they wanted to. And if that makes some parents mad, then they can be reminded of this:
Confederate flag lawsuit ends in mistrial
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A federal judge in Knoxville has declared a mistrial in a teenager’s free speech lawsuit over a dress code that banned him from wearing Confederate flag clothing.
The all-white jury deliberated about 13 hours but was unable to reach a unanimous verdict in the case of 18-year-old Tommy DeFoe.
Judge Tom Varlan dismissed the jury Friday.
DeFoe’s attorneys said they would like a new trial.
DeFoe’s lawsuit contends his rights were violated by an Anderson County schools dress policy that bars the flag from student clothing.
DeFoe’s attorneys are arguing for free speech. Fine. I’d like to see people show up for the next trial wearing shirts that display black men pissing on the confederate flag. I bet that would go over quite well!

Some republicans do so in order to have the weaponry available to kill, among other things, offending democrats:
N.C. man accused of threatening Barack Obama
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Authorities say a North Carolina man will undergo a psychiatric evaluation after being jailed on a charge of threatening to kill Barack Obama.
Federal documents identified the man held Friday as 48-year-old Jerry M. Blanchard. A criminal complaint says witnesses overheard Blanchard twice last month threatening to kill the presumptive Democratic nominee. [...]
Separately Thursday, a 22-year-old man in Florida made a court appearance in Miami on charges he threatened to assassinate Obama. That man also has denied making threats against Obama.
Surely you’re familiar with the recent church shootings in Knoxville, TN? A republican nutcase thought it was time a bunch of democrats should die. So he entered a church known for it’s tolerance for gays and opened fire.
And this is the party most Christians gravitate towards.

Ever wondered where those Hillary supporters gone to? Well I found them. They’re hanging out over at CNN getting some much needed Obama-hate on.
In a story titled, “Obama shifts on oil drilling?”, Obama softens his stance on offshore oil drilling, earning him the title “flip-flopper extraordinaire.” Hillary has had her flip-flop moments. And the good Lord knows McCain can’t open his mouth without a flip-flop popping out.
But, apparently, it so much more of a friggin’ deal when Barack does it. Examples of idiocy:
- Obama changing his position on something that is popular……Say it isnt so he has been so honest up to this point……..
New Slogan “Apeasement you can believe in”
- The panderer does it again.
Shift to what polls well.
Fools for Obama… will continue to defend this flip flopper till the end.
He is refining again, I guess.
He lost my vote when he disrespected and encouraged his cult to trash HRC.
Nothing he does will re-gain my vote.
- Change is what Obama does best…
Actions… not so much.
Fools who trashed Hillary to get this demogogue installed as puppet nominee…. the fall of America is on your heads.
More of this garbage HERE. And I thought republicans were whiny-assed crybabies… sheeeesh!

Could Harold Ford be any more fucked up in the head?
Per an AMERICAblog.com post, “Harold Ford thinks homophobia is politically expedient.” John Aravosis does a great job of handing Mr. Ford his ass on a platter:
Former Democratic congressman Harold Ford spoke today at the Netroots Nation conference. Ford explained to the audience that sometimes you just have to embrace positions that a lot of Democrats don’t like, in order to win conservative districts. For example, Ford decided to go anti-gay in the last week of his losing Senate race in 2006.
So, here’s my question for Harold Ford. How’s he feel about a Democrat using racism in order to win a race in a conservative district? I’m guessing Ford is against race-baiting in order to win conservative southern voters. But he has no problem with homophobia. Isn’t that interesting. How about bashing Asians (you know, Harold, those folks that John McCain calls “gooks”)? How about bashing women? Or people with disabilities? Would you tell a “polock joke” if you knew it would win you votes, Harold?
We don’t need hate, bigotry or racism in our government, republican or democrat. Vote to keep these POS’s out of Washington and elsewhere.

Obama said last month he would go to both Iraq and Afghanistan soon. But his campaign has given no dates, seeking to cloak the trip in a measure of secrecy for security reasons.

John McCain: BARACK OBAMA WILL BE IN IRAQ THIS WEEKEND! I’m not privy to specific info, but HE AND HIS DELEGATION WILL BE IN IRAQ THIS WEEKEND!
(But McCain’s spokesman said the Arizona senator knew nothing about Obama’s schedule.)
John McCain: BARACK OBAMA’S PLANE WILL BE LANDING IN IRAQ TODAY OR TOMORROW! Again, I’m not privy to specifics, but HIS PLANE WILL BE LANDING IN IRAQ TODAY OR TOMORROW!
McCain’s campaign spokeswoman Brooke Buchanan: He doesn’t know when he’s going. He’s not privy to that information. He was speaking in broader terms, about WHEN OBAMA DOES LAND IN IRAQ.

Waste, greed and idiocy isn’t just for the big dogs in higher up levels of government. You’ll see just as much, if not more, right down the street in your county’s court house.
Charlotte Considering Annexing Part Of Cabarrus County
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte city leaders are thinking of doing something they’ve never done before — annexing part of another county.
They’re close to taking Crosspointe On The Green. Part of the neighborhood is in Mecklenburg County, part is in Cabarrus County.
So, those residents would become a rare breed: Cabarrus County and Charlotte city residents. They have concerns.
Vince DiOrio said, “Well taxes. I don’t mind being part of the city of Charlotte but I don’t want to pay Charlotte taxes.”
Their taxes would go up more than $0.45 for $100 of valuation. That’s about $900 more each year for the average home there.
Students would still go to the same schools.
Charlotte City Council votes a week from Monday. If the annexation passes, it wouldn’t go into effect until next summer.

 A TECHcrunch Image
I posted a story earlier regarding the new un-biased reporting of the Associated Press (AP). While doing some more research on this matter, I ran across a site that reminded me of AP’s recent blowup regarding what equates to “fair use” of their material.
AP would rather online bloggers wouldn’t quote their work. As a matter of fact, they’re trying to rewrite common law regarding fair use… to their advantage, of course.
I, like many other bloggers, am very resolute in that I refuse to quote the AP any longer. If they prefer to get along without our “word of mouth” advantage, an advantage many other news sources enjoy having, then that is perfectly fine by me.
