Joe Biden and Lindsey Graham on Meet the Press square off over Afghanistan and Iraq and Biden puts him in his place for his talking point on Obama not holding hearings.
You know, it’s amazing to watch these two talk, and how clear it is that Biden speaks to the truth while Graham just spews out talking points that make no sense.
On another note, Brokaw will replace Tim Russert on Meet the Press.
Tim Russert:
What we hope to do in this campaign is recognize there are big differences on big issues between John McCain and Barack Obama - the war in Iraq, Iran, Social Security, taxes. You don’t need to get into this other stuff. If it does surface, then I think the mainstream media has an obligation not to just instinctively put it out there without vetting it. Or, if it is something that is manufactured as a virus, report on that - who did it and why. But sometimes it’s very hard to trace it back to its original source.
Let’s see if Russert follows his own advice from here on out. How about you call bullshit when you hear it on your show…..or actually report on news that IS vetted. Let’s add that to the mix, Tim.
Jim Webb on Meet the Press talks about the GI Bill he sponsored, and all of the bi-partisan support there is for it, and that if Bush vetoes it he will be the first President to ever veto benefits for Veterens and that he would do so at the GOP’s peril in the upcoming election with support from Veterens.
Hillary Clinton on Meet the Press
No comment……
Tim Russert (Meet the Press) discusses Gonzales testimony this week.
Jim Webb and Lindsay Graham on Meet the Press. I’d say Webb got the better of Graham.
Jim Webb on Meet the Press today.
