Part Two of the interview with Judy Croon, discussing her work on radio with Mike Bullard and her great charity called “Laugh Lines.” Visit the “Laugh Lines” link to find out more HERE.
Canadian based comedienne Judy Croon joins us for a fun interview on the next edition of “Blue Herald Radio” available July 9th at 5:00 AM. Aside from her stellar stand up comedy, Judy was also a co-host of XM Radio Canada’s “Mike Bullard: Uncensored” until it was unceremoniously canceled just six months into the run.
Judy will talk comedy writing, performing and radio with us on the next edition of “Blue Herald Radio”. Plus, we’ll play some clips of Judy’s stand-up work and some clips from “Mike Bullard: Uncensored”.
We’ll also have our usual news segments, political updates, commentary and music.
Blue Herald Radio is available each Monday morning beginning at 5:00 AM. You can download it via iTunes, download it as an mp3 to play later or listen to it on the site.
Jim speaks with Teresa Stack, President of “The Nation” magazine about the July 15th Postal rate increase that may put a HUGE strain on smaller publications (such as “The Nation” and “Mother Jones“) to the tune of an additional ONE HALF MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR in postage. Again, Craig Aaron from FreePress.net joins in the conversation.
All of us at Blue Herald invite you to listen to or download The July 2, 2007 edition of Blue Herald Radio.
Our Guests this week include:
Craig Aaron from Free Press discussing the lopsided playing field of talk radio and the recent introduction of The Local Community Radio Act (H.R. 2080) and (S. 1675).
We’ll also be talking with Teresa Stack, President of “The Nation” magazine about the upcoming (July 15) postal hike that will affect magazines like “The Nation” and “Mother Jones” AND cost them an additional ONE HALF MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR to deliver your magazine, while conglomerates such as Time-Warner will see only a tiny increase and in some cases a decrease. Is it odd that the program was written by Time-Warner.
In both instances, YOU CAN HELP. We’ll tell you how.
The newest edition of Blue Herald Radio will be available for listening on the site, downloading through iTunes or downloading as an mp3 to listen to on your computer’s media player beginning Monday July 2nd at 5:00AM (EDT)
Please join us for Blue Herald Radio with news, politics, opinion, interviews and music.
This coming Monday is the premiere of “Blue Herald Radio”, a three-hour weekly podcast that you can download or listen to on the site. We’ll make sure we bring you the most comprehensive reports in news, politics, opinion, important interviews, sports, weather and music each and every week.
Hosted by radio veteran of 25 years, Jim Swanson, “Blue Herald Radio” will be a great way to start your week…every week.
We’d also like you to be a major part of the weekly podcast. Your opinions and discussion on the important issues is of great value to us at Blue Herald. That’s why we invite you to call us with your comments and questions on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6-9 PM, EDT.
We’re working hard to get a toll-free number, but for now, please call (530) 554-2622. If you like, you can leave your first name, the town you’re calling from and your phone number and we’ll call you back. Of course, you can call anytime to leave a message, but we’d like you to be a part of the discussion of today’s important (and not so important) events.
We’re looking forward to bringing you “Blue Herald Radio” every week. So please join us this Monday. The podcast will be available beginning at 5:00 AM EDT.
