GOP Governors Not Happy With Press Conference
by QuestionGirl

Hey, we’re all sick to death of her. But let her keep talking. She’s good for the Democratic party.
gall.governors.gi.jpg.png

Some Republican governors tell CNN they were not particularly happy with the way the Republican Governors Association press conference was executed Thursday, saying that they agreed to go as a show of GOP governors’ unity — but they ended up feeling like silent Palin supporters, since it was clearly a press conference called for her.

The GOP governors spoke to CNN on condition of anonymity.

One called it awkward: “I’m sure you could see it on some of our faces.”

Another Republican governor eyeing a presidential run in 2012 told CNN the event was “odd” and “weird,” and said it “unfortunately sent a message that she was the de facto leader of the party.”

There has been palpable tension among some GOP governors gathered in Miami that Palin has been sucking up all the media oxygen.

In an interview with CNN, Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour shrugged off that suggestion.

“That’s just somebody running down a rabbit trail. There’s plenty of oxygen here,” he said.

Here’s the press conference. Governor Perry steps up and cuts it off.

You Betcha, Bitch!
by Buck

BlueHerald ImageCan you believe this stupid bitch?

No thanks, Sarah. No one wants help from someone with ties to a party that tortures. No one wants help from someone with ties to a party that is treasonous. No one wants help from someone with ties to a party that withholds health care to children. No one wants help from someone with ties to a party that robs from the poor to give to the rich. And no one certainly wants the help of a moron like yourself. So piss off, you shrill bitch.

Palin says she’d be honored to help Obama

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Gov. Sarah Palin said Wednesday that she would be honored to help President-elect Barack Obama in his new administration, even if he did hang around with an “unrepentant domestic terrorist.” [...]

But asked moments later about some of the tough rhetoric she hurled from the stump, she said she was “still concerned” about Obama’s ties to former Weather Underground member-turned-Chicago college professor William Ayers.

Sarah Palin: What A Maroon
by Buck

Bush was only part of the reason you lost, Sarah. You and McCain were, unfortunately, pitted against a man who knows how to do it right - who knows how to get the job done to our, his employers, satisfaction.

Oh, and did I forget to mention that sane, intelligent voters think you are an idiot?

Palin says Bush record led to GOP loss

(CNN) – Sarah Palin told local reporters in Alaska that unhappiness with the Bush administration’s Iraq war policy and spending record were responsible for the GOP ticket’s defeat this year.

“I think the Republican ticket represented too much of the status quo, too much of what had gone on in these last eight years, that Americans were kind of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute, how did we run up a $10 trillion debt in a Republican administration?” Palin told the Anchorage Daily News and Alaska’s KTUU Channel 2.

“How have there been blunders with war strategy under a Republican administration? If we’re talking change, we want to get far away from what it was that the present administration represented and that is to a great degree what the Republican Party at the time had been representing. So people desiring change I think went as far from the administration that is presently seated as they could. It’s amazing that we did as well as we did.”

Sarah, run again in 2012, please!

Has anyone got video to this? Let me know and I’ll put it up.

Townsfolk destroy Palin effigy with explosives

BATTLE, England (CNN) — Townsfolk in England have delivered their explosive verdict on Sarah Palin, stuffing a giant effigy of the U.S. Republican vice presidential nominee with fireworks and blowing her up to raucous cheers.

The unusual display was the climax of an annual bonfire celebration Saturday in the southern town of Battle, where political figures are a favorite target of a local tradition that sees a different icon destroyed each year.

This year’s creation was a rather unflattering depiction of the self-declared “hockey mom,” a machine gun brandished in her muscular arms, bright red lipstick surrounding a grimacing smile and a moose at her side. [...]

Despite heavy rain, Palin’s likeness went up in seconds — a shower of sparks followed by an giant bang, and an amused round of applause.

Just applause? No cartwheels?

Where’s Palin’s Medical Records?
by QuestionGirl

Palin stated in an interview with Brian Williams that she had no problem with releasing her medical records. To date, no medical records. Obama and Biden have released their records. McCain let a few reporters have a peek at his. Why hasn’t Palin released hers? I know what I think.

Palin Worried About Her First Amendment Rights
by QuestionGirl

This has got to be THE dumbest person in recent political history. I think she has GW beat. Does this make sense to anyone? All I can say is…….huh? She really needs to go back to Alaska. So it’s going to be the media’s fault they lose. Ok…….whatever. Just go away.

ABC News’ Steven Portnoy reports: In a conservative radio interview that aired in Washington, D.C. Friday morning, Republican vice presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin said she fears her First Amendment rights may be threatened by “attacks” from reporters who suggest she is engaging in a negative campaign against Barack Obama.

Palin told WMAL-AM that her criticism of Obama’s associations, like those with 1960s radical Bill Ayers and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, should not be considered negative attacks. Rather, for reporters or columnists to suggest that it is going negative may constitute an attack that threatens a candidate’s free speech rights under the Constitution, Palin said.

“If [the media] convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning, for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations,” Palin told host Chris Plante, “then I don’t know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media.”

However she feels about the way her story has been told in the press, Palin told WMAL she is not discouraged.

“It’s sort of perplexing to me, because I’m a practical person and plainspoken also, but just cutting to the chase and calling things like I see them, just like most Americans. But this has not left a bitter taste in my mouth, the bitter shots taken by the mainstream media and by some of the elitism there in Washington,” Palin said.

“What this has left me with is a very energized and positive feeling about America, because there are enough Americans who are desiring the positive change that John McCain’s gonna usher in.”

Plante then suggested that in her next sit-down interview, Palin should tap the reporter on the knee and ask, “So who you votin’ for?”

Palin laughed and said, “Yeah, maybe that just would say it all.”

“I’m gonna try that,” she said.

Palin Booed in Erie Pa. When She Brings Up the Phillies
by QuestionGirl

On 10/30/08, Sarah Palin said how it was an honor to be in the same state as the World Series champions the Philadelphia Phillies while in Erie, PA, and was promptly booed by the loyal Pirates fans in this Western PA town. She’ll have to work on sports fan geography prior to the 2012 election cycle.

The Palin-McCain Campaign: Desperate Liars
by Buck

It both amazes and sickens me that so many of my fellow Americans would be glad to have such blatant LIARS running the country! What’s wrong with you idiots???

Palin accuses Obama of ties to second ‘radical professor’

(CNN) — Gov. Sarah Palin on Wednesday said Sen. Barack Obama has ties to a Columbia University professor who she said is “a former spokesperson for the Palestinian Liberation Organization.” [...]

Palin said her assertion “is not negative campaigning to call someone out on their record.”

“It seems that there is yet another radical professor from the neighborhood who spent a lot of time with Barack Obama going back several years,” Palin said at an event in Bowling Green, Ohio.

“This is important because his associate, Rashid Khalidi[tag] … in addition to being a political ally of Barack Obama, he’s a former spokesperson for the Palestinian Liberation Organization.”

CNN Fact-Check… The Verdict: Misleading. While Khalidi eight years ago hosted a political fund-raiser for Obama, the two men strongly disagree over the Israeli-Palestinian issue and there’s no evidence of a continuing political relationship.

Palin Target of Yet Another Ethics Complaint
by QuestionGirl

Something tells me her popularity in Alaska is going to be going down down down. She should have cleaned things up in her own backyard before running around the country claiming she’s going to clean up Washington D.C.

Alaska Governor and Republican Vice President hopeful Sarah Palin may be facing another round of scrutiny, this time for charging the state for her children to travel with her while conducing official state business.

CBS News has obtained a copy of the complaint that Frank Gwartney, a retired lineman in Anchorage filed last Friday, with Alaska’s Attorney General, Talis Colber in Juneau. “Palin ran on the platform of ethics, transparency and anti-corruption. I’m tired of the hypocrisy that exists in Government and people need to know the truth,” said Gwartney.

The complaint against Governor Palin, alleges Misuse of Official Position: “Gov. Palin attempted to and in fact did use her official position for personal gain by securing unwarranted benefits for her daughters…” All the allegations contained in the complaint are related to state reimbursed travel.
