God I Hate Stupid People
by Buck

Paul obviously voted for the economy-destroying Bush four and eight years ago. How does Paul think the economy is supposed to get back up and running? Did Paul think McCain and Palin had a magical wand? Was money gonna pop out of no where and everything get fixed? How the hell does Paul expect that big Iraqi war that he defended all these years to get paid for?

Paul, listen closely, “borrow and spend” DOES NOT WORK! Somewhere along the way, we have to pay our debt. That means you too, Paul.

And firing the guy who obviously did not vote for Bush or the Iraqi war, or this huge debt, or the cluster fuck in which we’re now standing in the middle of… just shows what a fucking republican asshole you are.

In not wanting to pay your share of taxes, the only person I see demanding a “free ride” is you, Paul. So, fuck you! I hope the person you fire breaks your fucking nose on his way out the door you goddamn fucking crybaby.

Some businesses changing for Obama

Before the election, a small business owner named Paul sent me an e-mail. He said he planned to immediately fire one of his two employees if Barack Obama won because he feared tax increases.

“Guess which one it might be?” he asked. “The one with the Obama bumper sticker and who voted for the tax increases, or the one who voted for no tax increase?”

His answer:

“Plain and simple – I will keep the one who wants my small business to be successful and not the one who’s looking for a free ride on the Obama unemployed express,” he wrote.

The way Paul saw it, Obama would usher in tax increases for business owners like him.

So, McCain Campaign…
by Batocchio

So McCain campaign… How and why are any of us supposed to respect any of you at all at this point?

I don’t think there’s been a single significant claim made by McCain, Palin or anyone associated with the campaign in the past three weeks that hasn’t been highly deceptive if not an outright lie.

And seriously, it’s hard to keep up with all those lies. Even the full-time bloggers can’t. (Your habit of repeating the same debunked and ineffective smears over and over does make it a bit easier, though.)

Let’s take one example. Anyone who accuses Obama of being a “socialist” is either an ignoramus or a liar. Or a combination of both.

U.S. Attacks Inside Syrian Border
by QuestionGirl

WTF? Juan Cole’s take:

What is odd is that the Bush administration did not behave that way when the infiltration of fundamentalist vigilantes from the Syrian side was a more significant problem.

I don’t know if this is election politics on Bush’s part, an attempt by Bush-Cheney to mire Obama down in a Syria conflict they started.

Or maybe the secular, Alawi-dominated Baath Party of Syria, always afraid of the Sunni fundamentalists, has grown so terrified of Fatah al-Islam that they gave a secret go-ahead to the US to hit the fundamentalists where they had intelligence on them.

A U.S. military official confirmed late Sunday an American helicopter attack in an area along Syria’s border with Iraq, which left 8 people dead and three people wounded.

Syria condemned the attack, which it called “serious aggression.”

The raid indicated the desert frontier between the two countries remains a key battleground, more than five years into the Iraq war. The U.S. official said the attack targeted elements of a robust foreign fighter logistics network and that due to Syrian inaction the U.S. was now “taking matters into our own hands.”

A government statement carried by the official Syrian Arab News Agency said the attack occurred at the Sukkariyeh Farm near the town of Abu Kamal, five miles (eight kilometers) inside the Syrian border. Four helicopters attacked a civilian building under construction, firing at the workers inside shortly before sundown, the statement said.

More Lying Republican Politicians In Our Near-Future?
by Buck

The answer appears to be a resounding ‘Yes!’.

Joe the Plumber open to 2010 run

(CNN) – Could Joe the Plumber become Joe the congressman?

Joe Wurzelbacher, the most famous plumber in America thanks to John McCain and Sarah Palin, told conservative talk radio host Laura Ingraham Friday he’s considering a run for Congress in 2010.

That would pit Wurzelbacher against longtime Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur for Ohio’s 9th district on the state’s northern border, which includes Toledo and Sandusky. “I’ll tell you what, we’d definitely be in one heck of a fight, Marcy Kaptur definitely has a following in this area,” he said of the possibility. “But, you know, I’d be up for it.”

Well, why the hell not? He can be as dumb as a bag of hammers and still have more brains than Dan Quayle or Sarah Palin. If he continues with his lying, (and most assuredly he will), he’ll fit right in with the greats like Reagan, Nixon and Bush (1 & 2).

If the man is hell-bent on fucking over at least half of the country for the benefit of himself and a whole slew of wealthy folk… then he’ll make a fine republican leader. His future looks bright! (If only we can say the same for America.)

The Republican Party: The Look Of Hate
by Buck

The Republican Party. What a party.

They should consider using this image in there next voter drive.

Bear found dumped at WCU with Obama signs

CULLOWHEE – A dead bear was found dumped this morning on the Western Carolina University campus, draped with a pair of Obama campaign signs, university police said.

Maintenance workers reported about 7:45 a.m. finding a 75-pound bear cub dumped at the roundabout near the Catamount statute at the entrance to campus, said Tom Johnson, chief of university police.

“It looked like it had been shot in the head as best we can tell. A couple of Obama campaign signs had been stapled together and stuck over its head,” Johnson said.

University police called in N.C. Wildlife Resources officials to remove the body and help in the investigation. Bear season is currently under way in Western North Carolina.

“This is certainly unacceptable,” Johnson said. “Someone was wanting to draw attention to the election. If we find out who they are, we’ll make sure they’ll get some attention themselves.”

“Western Carolina University deplores the inappropriate behavior that led to this troubling incident,” said Leila Tvedt, associate vice chancellor “We cannot speculate on the motives of the people involved, nor who those people might be. Campus police are cooperating with authorities to investigate this matter.”

Anyone with information should call WCU police at 828-227-7301.

The Republican Mindset
by Buck

Teh uber stupidity - it burns my eyes and brain.

Just received the following email:

Subject: Are you a Democrat, Republican, or Redneck?
Here is a little test that will help you decide:

You’re walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children.

Suddenly, an Islamic terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the knife, and charges at you.

You are carrying a Glock automatic pistol, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.

What do you do?

Democrat’s Answer:

  • Well, that’s not enough information to answer the question!
  • Does the man look poor! Or oppressed?
  • Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
  • Could we run away?
  • What does my wife think? What about the kids?
  • Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out ofhis hand?
  • What does the law say about this situation?
  • Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it?
  • Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?
  • Is it possible he’d be happy with just killing me?
  • Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?
  • If I were to grab his knees and hold on , could my family get away while he was stabbing me?
  • Should I call 9-1-1 ?
  • Why is this street so deserted?
  • We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day and make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.
  • This is all so confusing!
  • I need to discuss with some friends over a latte and try to come to a consensus.
  • Republican’s Answer:

  • BANG!

    Redneck’s Answer:

  • BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Click….(sounds of reloading) BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! click….
  • Daughter: ‘Nice grouping, Daddy! Were those the Winchester Silver Tips or Hollow Points?’
  • Son: ‘You got him, Pop! Can I shoot the next one?’
  • Wife: ‘You are not taking that to the taxidermist!
  • AND THAT’S WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THE SOUTH.

Oh, yeah… those rednecks sure are a witty bunch!

    Is Barack Obama A Muslin?
    by QuestionGirl

    idiots.jpg

A controversial yard sign in Florida that accuses Barack Obama of being a “Half-Breed Muslin” has sparked an excellent web response — the site isbarackobamamuslin.com. Should Barefoot Bay, Fla., resident — and apparent John McCain supporter — Andy Lacasse, who made the sign, be confused about whether Obama is an adherent of Islam versus, say, a type of finely woven cotton fabric, there’s also a handy redirect to the site isbarackobamamuslim.com. (Answer: No. Obama is neither a type of fabric nor a Muslim.)

Seeing this kind of shit, it’s understandable why some people will vote for McCain. They are IDIOTS!

Police State, Courtesy Of The Constitution-Hating GOP
    by Buck

Do you have to wonder the party affiliation of the person who filed this complaint?

I’m surprised the protesters weren’t jailed. Locked up and held behind bars until the GOP convention was over… or longer. At this rate, I can see similar happenings in the not-too-distant future, but where the people involved are stood up to walls and shot.

We’re not just going backwards. We’re going backwards at an alarming rate of speed.

Police raid headquarters of RNC protesters

BlueHerald ImageST. PAUL, Minnesota (CNN) — Police raided a rental hall used by a group organizing protests at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Friday.

The RNC Welcoming Committee, which describes itself as “anarchist/anti-authoritarian,” accused St. Paul police of trying to disrupt their protest planned for Monday, the day the GOP convention is set to begin.

While no one was arrested, the group said police temporarily detained and photographed at least 50 people who were inside the building.

St. Paul Police spokesman Tom Walsh said they were executing a search warrant.

“The cause for the search warrant is not public at this time,” Walsh said.

As many as 30 police officers entered with guns drawn, according to witnesses in the building.
