Glenn Beck: ‘I Don’t Hate Muslims!’
Responding to recent calls for his ouster as a contributor to ABC-TV’s “Good Morning America” by several Arab activist groups for what they termed “blatant anti-Arab and anti-Muslim bias,” Premiere Radio Networks talk host and CNN Headline News Prime personality Glenn Beck fired back at his accusers, saying, “I want to make it very clear, I don’t hate Muslims. In fact, I don’t know anybody who hates Muslims — and I know a lot of conservatives.”

After airing several video clips from previous editions of his nightly CNN program that clearly supported the talk host’s claim of fairness, Beck told viewers he’s been consistent and anything but biased on both his radio and television shows.

“I offer you a challenge,” said Beck to his critics. “When you see the big rally happening, with the Muslims marching in the streets saying, ‘They’re hijacking my religion,’ you call me. I’ll give you my private phone number. We will set up satellite trucks to cover it.”

Watched Scarborough tonight. They were talking about the Presidential hopefuls and how they all voted for the war in Iraq. Someone mentioned “the darling” didn’t vote for it because he wasn’t a Senator yet, speaking of Barack Obama. Scarborough said ” Yeah, he was mowing lawns in Springfield and voting on pothole legislation.” Anyone have the video of this??? I just found that to be a really bizaare statement.

The guy is so ridiculous I have to wonder if he even believes the shit that comes out of his own mouth. He actually says, a day after we lose atleast 20 troops, there’s good news coming out of Iraq this week. Ugh!

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. –In what has become an annual tradition of prognostications, religious broadcaster Pat Robertson said Tuesday God has told him that a terrorist attack on the United States would result in “mass killing” late in 2007.

“I’m not necessarily saying it’s going to be nuclear,” he said during his news-and-talk television show “The 700 Club” on the Christian Broadcasting Network. “The Lord didn’t say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that.”

Robertson said God told him during a recent prayer retreat that major cities and possibly millions of people will be affected by the attack, which should take place sometime after September.

Robertson said God also told him that the U.S. only feigns friendship with Israel and that U.S. policies are pushing Israel toward “national suicide.”

Robertson suggested in January 2006 that God punished then-Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon with a stroke for ceding Israeli-controlled land to the Palestinians.

Malkin announces that she’s going to Baghdad

Malkin is so concerned about the Associated Press’ efforts to make things look “really bad” in Iraq when things are really actually going really well, that she has accepted Eason Jordan’s invitation to send her to Iraq.

Now I know and you know that Michelle has no intention of going to Iraq. She’s stuck her neck out a bit on this one, however. What excuse will she use to keep herself from going?

Will she claim that Eason Jordan refused to pay? Will she describe a murky Islamofascist/moonbat plot that will force her to stay at home? Will she claim that the Iraqi government won’t give her a visa? Will she, like Bill O’Reilly, claim to discover that she’s on an al-Qaeda hitlist?

At least we know that Baghdad isn’t as dangerous as Paris. She’s got that going for her.

Congresswoman Denies Urging Killing of Castro

MIAMI, Dec. 10 (AP) - A congresswoman says a video showing her calling for Fidel Castro’s assassination is fake, a charge denied Sunday by the film’s director.

The congresswoman, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Republican of Florida, appears in the 28’second clip made available on the Internet by the makers of a new British documentary, “638 Ways to Kill Castro.”

In it, she says: “I welcome the opportunity of having anyone assassinate Fidel Castro and any leader who is oppressing the people.”

But Ms. Ros-Lehtinen, a Havana-born lawmaker recently selected to become the top Republican on the House International Relations Committee, says the filmmakers spliced clips together to make the sound bite.

“It’s twisted in a way that gives the viewer a totally wrong impression,” she told The Miami Herald. “I-ve said the community has moved on, that those strategies are not being used today, but apparently the filmmakers think we-re still in a -60s mentality.”

The film’s director, Dollan Cannell, stood by the authenticity of the video.

“I can assure you categorically and completely that there has been no distortion of what she said,” Mr. Cannell told The Associated Press on Sunday.

MARLBORO- Ninety-year-old Wesley Fay Wetherell Sr., a Level 3 sex offender who lives in a prison-cell’sized room at the Lincoln Street Inn, is closely watching a local law that could run him and other convicted child predators out of Marlboro.

The partially blind grandfather, who grew up in Hudson, said he doesn-t know the source of his perversion toward little girls. But the crimes for which he has been convicted, he said, were not vicious enough to warrant him having to uproot and move to another community.

“I think they-re pushing the sex offenders too hard,” Mr. Wetherell said in a recent telephone interview. “They-re making all of them look like the bad people who kill young girls or something. I think we-re all being judged the same way.”
